Art Meets Poetry is a collaboration between the Mockingbird Poetry Society and the Art Club of McKinney. The purpose of the event is to unite greater McKinney artists and poets by inspiring creativity and seeing in new ways. As Leonardo da Vinci once said, “Painting is poetry that is seen rather than felt, and poetry is painting that is felt rather than seen.”

2024 Information
The third annual Art Meets Poetry program culminated with an exhibit of art and poetry at The Cove Art Gallery in McKinney, Texas, 2-8 p.m. Saturday, February 3, 2024.
Artist and Poet Opening Night Reception
Artists and Poets are invited to an opening night reception at the Cove, on Friday, February 2, 2024, from 6-8 p.m.
Reservations
Reservations are not required, but you may make a free reservation on the Heard Craig Center for the Arts website.
Room Block
Art Meets Poetry has reserved a block of rooms at Springhill Suites by Marriott in McKinney, 2660 S. Central Expressway. King Suites are $105 per night (sleeps four with a sleeper sofa), and Double Queen Suites are $125 per night (sleeps 6 with a sleeper sofa). The room rate includes free breakfast, Wi-Fi and parking.
